The God Culture: The Dead Sea Scrolls Are All About Jesus Christ

The stupidity and contradictions never stop with Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture. He continues to claim The God Culture is a team but it is simply not possible that a team would continue to get EVERYTHING wrong. If it turns out there is an actual God Culture team they are the most unqualified people for the job of researching the Bible, history, linguistics, paleography, archaeology, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Tim and the gang, IF there is a gang, are now claiming that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is to be found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, specifically in the Commentary on Nahum. Here is the passage in question.

[And chokes prey for its lionesses; and it fills] its caves [with prey] and its dens with victims (ii, 12a—b).

Interpreted, this concerns the furious young lion [who executes revenge] on those who seek smooth things and hangs men alive, ... formerly in Israel. Because of a man hanged alive on [the] tree, He proclaims, ‘Behold I am against [you, says the Lord of Hosts’].

What Tim is going to do is take ahold of "Because of a man hanged alive on a tree" and say that has to be a reference to Jesus Christ because he is the ONLY man who's being hanged on a tree, or crucified, matters. He will also claim that this passage is wrongly translated because of the addition of "who executes revenge" in brackets and he will also deride paleographic dating as mere unscientific guess work. Below are the most important statements he makes trying to twist this passage into a reference to Jesus Christ. 

1:07  The whole Dead Sea scroll, uh, malfunction of what they call scholarship is really truly utter fraud. Uh, so, yeah they don't find it and we're not surprised cuz it's right there sitting on top of their nose. And what do they do? Well, first they screw up the date in a false science, uh, that guesses at a date. Yeah, that's what they do they don't actually test many times, uh, you know carbon dating. But even if they did there's still a margin of error that could take it into the next century. So it really doesn't tell you anything when you're thinking about trying to nail it down to a very, very specific era of you know 30 to 40 years. Uh, literally impossible to do so and it's okay we don't have to that's the whole thing. It's the demand for such that science doesn't even have to support it that it's just ludicrous. Stop demanding things, right? That's what we should do. Stop demanding things that man can't even date and can't even do anyway. Pretty easy

Got it? The text is undatable using proper scientific methods including carbon dating and paleography. Moreover people who demand the Dead Sea Scrolls be subject to such testing are stupid.  

4:50 However, no one can seem to think over there at the Dead Sea scroll, uh, you know Library, the Leon Levy Library, all of it. The Rockefeller funded uh disaster, uh, of interpretation. At least we have the Dead Sea Scrolls at least some of the translations are okay uh but their interpretations, these guys are idiots.

This is a particularly ignorant statement. Tim derides the scholarly interpretation of the scrolls but says the translations are OK. Only an idiot would not understand ALL translation is interpretation. Unbelievable. 

7:02 This concerns the Furious Young Lion that's singular notice. Now, it's not Yahusha and we know that he can be, uh, referred to as a lion as well in Prophecy but that's not what this is this is very clear this is a furious Young Lion who's doing some bad stuff here. So, uh, this is Pontius Pilate very obviously I mean anybody can read this even at first blush and really kind of almost see this but hopefully you will now. 

Why is it obvious that this lion is Pontius Pilate? Tim does not say. It is obvious to Tim because he has already decided that this passage is about Jesus being crucified and the man who ordered his crucifixion is Pontius Pilate. But why is this furious young lion Pilate? Tim also wants his audience to know that there is only one lion mentioned in the text and not many lions as some scholars say and who Tim never cites. Surely Tim has read this whole commentary and knows that the furious young lion is mentioned in the fragment just before the one he is interpreting.

The lion tears enough for its cubs and it chokes prey for its lionesses (ii, 12a).

[Interpreted, this] concerns the furious young lion who strikes by means of his great men, and by means of the men of his council.

Now, how is this Pilate? Tim has already said there is only one furious young lion so there has to be a strict identification between these two furious young lions. So, how is this Pilate? Tim does not say. He ignores it completely.

7:46 And notice we have brackets here as we move forward. uh now what does that mean? It means they added this part to the sentence, to the translation, it's not actually there. Now, there's nothing wrong with doing that if it's logical, reasonable, and they're not just throwing in something to basically change the whole doctrine of the passage. Oh, oops that's what they're doing in blatant fraud. Let's see. 

So, it says "who executes Revenge." So, this this Furious Young Lion executes Revenge. Okay you could say that about Pontius Pilate I, I mean you could but are you kidding? The guy washed his hands he tried not he tried to say "no." No the Pharisees twisted his arm uh he wasn't exactly the one executing Revenge other than for them but here's how it reads: uh, "who executes Revenge." Uh, what they're trying to do is set up the Pharisees as the persecuted here because those poor Pharisees, I mean, you know, they they, they were just trying to kill a man. What's wrong with that? Right? Okay. What it really should say is something more like "on behalf of." Ok? Not "who executes Revenge." Nonsense.

Wow. Now Tim is not only engaging in commentary but in translation! It should be noted that the bracketed words are not a problem for Tim. It is the word "on" following the brackets with which he takes issue. Instead of "on" Tim thinks it should read "on behalf of." Why exactly should it say "on behalf of?" Has Tim looked at the Hebrew? No. This new translation is based not on what the actual Hebrew text says but on Tim's own fancy. It is totally ludicrous.

10:50 So, who does the hanging here? The Furious Young Lion Pontius Pilate does. He's the Executioner. then it says "formerly in Israel." So, this fragment is written when after the event because it's talking about something that was formerly there and formerly happened. Duh. This text really dates itself. 

"Because of a man." Okay. One man. There's only one to which this could even refer in fact and that's Yahusha you'll see. One man. Okay. "Because of a man hanged alive on the tree he proclaims behold I am against you says Yahweh of hosts." Wow. Now, let's break this down cuz there's actually a lot there to unpack and by the end of this short video you're going to understand it and again test it for yourself. 

First notice this man as Peter and Luke affirm was hanged on a tree. We know that is scripture. that is a Biblical way to identify Yahusha. Now, it's not a cross. Uh, it's an upright stake, a single piece of Timber not two. Uh, not in any passage by the way. There's not a single passage that ever identifies an actual cross. That's an English translation of the Greek word stauros which is always a stake, a single piece of wood usually pointed on the end but not always, uh and Yahusha was attached to one of those. Uh, it's called a tree but appropriately so, uh, so, anyway. Watch our videos on the cross and the great, the Greek, uh, stake and we cover that well. 

This is clear that a singular man was hanged on a tree and well, uh, caused Yahua to react against those who executed him. That's pretty severe. That's pretty serious when he reacts. This is Yahusha and no one else. There's really no other fit to this and you'll see as we go through.

It is true that Jesus was hung on a "tree" and died but he also resurrected. If this is indeed Jesus where is the mention of His resurrection? It simply is not there. That is rather odd since the resurrection is pretty important.

20:06 Uh, that is poor and no wonder he can't, you know, figure this out and ends up leading uh to really the hiding of this incredible Revelation that's been sitting right there. Yahusha is found his crucifixion is found in the Dead Sea Scrolls written about the period that it happened, concurrently. Wow. This is amazing. When you think about it this is incredible.

This is the core of Tim's entire argument. Dead Sea Scroll Scholars are dishonest frauds who cannot connect a man dying on a tree to Jesus Christ who died on a tree. 

The amount of ignorance in this video is breathtaking. Tim wants us to believe this fragment was written shortly after Jesus was crucified based on his interpretation not of the original Hebrew but of Vermes English translation. For Tim, Vermes' commentary and bracket additions are maliciously fraudulent while his translation is acceptable even though the translation is itself an interpretation. However, as I showed above it is the translation and not the bracketed words with which Tim takes issue. If this fragment was written after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ why is there no mention of His resurrection? 

Tim is also taking this one fragment out of context. This fragment is from a whole commentary on Nahum. How does this interpretation fit in with the rest of the commentary? It is a matter of fact that this commentary mentions the names of two Greek kings. Who are they? Tim does not care as he dismisses them completely. 

18:46 "Substantial remains of a Naham commentary we retrieved from cave four. they cover parts of chapters 1 and two of the biblical book and the first 14 chapters of chapter 3. their historical significance has been discussed in chapter 3. It is worthy of note that the commentator employs not only cryptograms Kittim, Furious Young Lion, Etc." Indeed he does and that's not really that cryptic when you understand you know a lot of these things especially when they're repeated over and over in the Dead Sea Scrolls these these aren't Shockers at all. "But the actual names of two Greek Kings." Oops! Well, no not not in terms of of uh of what we're talking about not at all. Uh, Demetrius and, uh, Antiochus except for both of them are gone uh by this era that this is supposedly dated from 50 to 1 BC. Doesn't he know that? Doesn't he read his own writing? That's pretty bad. Anyway, so, the Greeks are gone and Rome is in power so forget the Greeks there that he mentions, I don't know why. 

Tim is at a loss why Vermes mentions the names of two Greek kings Demetrius and Antiochus. Is he for real? The names are in the text! That's why he mentions them. This is beyond stupid especially as Tim had no problem with Antiochus being name dropped when he used this very same fragment to "disprove" The Book of Maccabees. 

Take a look again at the title card for this video. "FRESH DISCOVERY!" "How did scholars HIDE this?" It's simply amazing that scholars who have devoted their entire lives to studying the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient languages, 2nd Temple Period literature, and the culture of the time are bested again and again by a magazine publisher who admits he is not a linguist and has a degree in marketing. How is this possible? 

It's not. The real question is why is Timothy Jay Schwab such a clueless utter moron and why does anyone believe the ridiculous garbage that he spews? 

How did scholars miss that the Dead Sea Scrolls, far from being a collection of documents pertaining to a specific community complete with rules and their own unique interpretation of the Bible, is actually all about Jesus Christ? It's because they hate Jesus, of course and the Dead Sea Scrolls are all about Jesus. 

5:35 They tried to rule out 30 or so years later of course. Uh, why? Well because that would be Messiah in this text and of course that couldn't possibly be because well, they hate him. What do you expect? What are they doing? Managing the Dead Sea Scrolls which are all about Him that's the real question. Now, problem we ain't fallen for any more of this ridiculous leaven.

Now, it must be said that while Tim is very stupid his audience is even more so. The morons who listen to him will believe everything he says without doing what he says which is test all things including himself. They will hear Tim read about a man being hanged on a tree in this Nahum commentary fragment and agree that it can only be Jesus Christ who was also hanged on a tree. 

This interpretation of the Nahum Commentary is on par with Tim's linguistic method whereby a Filipino word sounds like a Hebrew word therefore it IS a Hebrew word. It is also on par with Tim's interpretation of Jesus saying "Come unto me all who are weary and I will give you rest" to mean we have to keep the Sabbath because we rest on the Sabbath therefore Jesus must have been talking about the Sabbath when he mentioned rest. It is silly and ridiculous beyond belief. It is amazing how, when you think he cannot get any stupider, Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture will always surprise you with something even more stupid than before.

The God Culture: 100 Lies About the Philippines: Lie #30: The Philippine Flag and National Anthem are Bible Prophecy

Welcome back to 100 lies The God culture teaches about the Philippines. Today's lie concerns the Philippine flag and national anthem. Timothy claims they contain biblical prophecy but as we shall see that is a lie. 

In one of his videos Tim explains the alleged biblical prophecy contained in the Philippine flag and the words of the national anthem. 

Revelation 12: The Land That Protects The Woman. Solomon's Gold Series 13D 

28:56 So let's look here at the national flag of the Philippines. Notice the symbol of the Sun. Are there other countries that have such? Certainly there are many in fact but take a look at their national anthem Lupang Hinirang or chosen land, interesting. Land of the morning. Why? Well the Sun rises in the east and has been considered the Far East as far back as history goes really. The Orient is well recorded, even Japan is also known as the Land of the Rising Sun and it sits parallel to the Philippines but it is not a Lost Tribe territory thus it does not fit this. But the Philippines is. 

Now read the next line though. Very odd. "Child of the Sun returning." Wow! The first time we saw that we thought well it must be Sun God symbology yet in lieu of these findings in Revelation 12 perhaps not.

"Never shall invaders trample thy sacred shores." Sacred shores. Funny. 

Understand this anthem is written after the Spanish had invaded in about 1898. They were invaded by the U.S. in the very next year in fact and also Japan in World War 2 so that did not come true then, right? Or did it? Actually if in fact this is a reference referring to Satan attacking as the enemy it would be accurate a minor point but we look at everything that we see here. However, is the Philippines the land of the Sun that's the symbology we're looking for. The answer yes. 

And look at the Greek word used here. The word is Helios which means Sun but also actually means East. Why? Because the Sun rises in the east you see that with Hebrew and Greek words often nothing abnormal about that. But literally one could replace the word East in the passage and it would be accurate. A woman clothed in the east. And we know it's Jacob and Jacobs descendants in the East are in the Philippines.

We looked up all the words in this passage basically in Greek but they are really translated pretty appropriately as things like clothes is pretty much clothed each time it's used or arrayed which is maybe a better word but pretty much the same thing. The anthem continues to mention the nation's radiance, again more sun language, but "thy banner dear to all hearts its Sun and stars." Alright so yes we see star symbology here too but we'll get there. 

"Oh never shall it's shining fields be dimmed by tyrants might." There have been tyrants but they have not lasted in the Philippines, Remember that. 

Again they were attacked but they have gained their independence just after World War two in fact and they remain so and even now we begin to see the prophecy of Messiah in Matthew 12:42 as Sheba, Ophir, Philippines begins to rise against corruption, against the New World Order, the Beast whichever you wish to call it which is also exactly what this land which protects the woman is really doing when you look at the passage. They are taking a stand against the dragon. In our opinion this is far too much to overlook. 

So, "land of the morning child of the Sun returning." Child of Jacob the Sun returning. Hmm. The hundred and forty-four thousand. Hmm.

And more language, "beautiful land of love, oh land of light." Now, there are three lights in Genesis that were placed in the firmament. What are they? The Sun, the Moon, and stars. Hmm. 

"In thine embraced 'tis rapture to lie." Huh. Rapture? The manchild is from the woman Israel and is birthed in heaven and raptured, the actual Greek word used there is harpazo. No every time you see that word mean in Scripture it does not mean that is the rapture doctrine. You first have to prove the rapture doctrine is scriptural and then you can start applying the word in such a way but you can't do it the other way around. This is not the rapture. It cannot be the rapture of the rapture doctrine absolutely not. So, raptured to the throne room of Yahuah think about it. 

"But it is glory ever when thou art wronged for us, thy sons to suffer and die." No doubt could be a military reference there and that's fine but it's a very interesting choice of words especially throughout the entire national anthem. 

We find these kinds of things all over the Philippine history. But the main point here is is the Philippines a land of Jacob? Yes, Lost Tribes migrated there thus it is the Sun and even uses sun symbology. It just piles on top of all of this to just confirm the Philippines is the land that clothes the woman in the Sun. So does it fit here? We believe it does.

Tim also mentions this alleged prophecy in his book The Search for King Solomon's Treasure.

One of the greatest mysteries in prophecy which has eluded scholars is Revelation 12. Most immediately migrate to astrology and there is no biblical precedence to interpret His prophecy through the paradigm of star patterns named for His adversaries. In fact, we examine every scripture that appears to classify constellations in the English and studying out the Hebrew and Greek, there is not one which even refers to a star cluster which commemorates the Watcher Fallen Angels and their Nephilim offspring. Talk about “doctrines of demons.”

Instead, with this restored geography in mind, we now understand the Philippines to be far more important than once perceived. To ignore this, would be a huge oversight. Understandably, scholars are unaware largely of this thinking thus they will never interpret this prophecy with accuracy in our opinion.

Remember, this is prophecy and we are simply attempting to examine one which no scholar has ever explained with precision. This is a future event as all of Revelation is according to John in his opening. We see dual symbology here in which the woman appears physically in Heaven but these symbols which surround her distinguish a land as well which will protect her and she will flee into it’s wilderness. This land is described asclothing the woman in the sun, the moon at it’s feet, twelve stars in it’s crown, having a wilderness or desert, likely an island or on the coastline in the ocean where a great tsunami could form and it has the great eagle. Do any of these seem familiar? We believe so.

The Philippines is known in it’s National Anthem, “Lupang Hinirang,” as the “Land of the morning” or sun. Some English translations then render “child of the sun returning.” It is well known geographically as the area in which the sun rises in the Far East just as Japan is the “Land of the Rising Sun” in almost parallel longitude to the Philippines. The Philippines would envelope this woman in the warmth of the sun.

Whether knowingly or unknowingly Tim is interpreting the Bible through Freemasonic symbology! The flag of the Philippines was designed by Emilio Aguinaldo and is replete with masonic symbols.

The Hong Kong designed flag that Aguinaldo brought with him from his exile on board the US dispatch boat McCullock, and which became the official flag of the first Philippine Republic, consisted of two horizontal stripes, blue on top and red below. It had a white equilateral triangle at the hoist that is smaller than that in our flag today. Within the triangle, at its center, a mythological sun was depicted with eyebrows, eyes, nose and mouth in black, bearing eight rays without any minor ray for each, and three five-pointed stars, one at each angle of the triangle. All these devices were in gold or yellow colour.

Among the more credible assertions relied upon to establish the tie between masonry and the flag are the following:

In October 1899, Ambrocio Flores, Grand Master of the Gran Consejo Regional and at that time a general in the army of Aguinaldo, wrote letters to the Grand Lodges in the United States appealing to them to employ their influence to help the fledgling Philippine Republic. In these letters he compared the Philippine flag to the masonic banner saying, "...this national flag resembles closely our masonic banner starting from its triangular quarter to the prominent central position of its resplendent sun surrounded in its triangular position by three 5-pointed stars. Even in its three coloured background, it is the spitting image of our Venerable Institution’s banner so that when you see it in any part of the world, waving with honor amidst the flags of other nations and acknowledged by these nations, let us hope that with this flag, and through it, our common parent, Freemasonry will likewise be so honored."

In his beautiful Grand Oration pronounced in 1928, historian Teodoro M. Kalaw, Sr., uttered these words: "And the triangle appearing on the Philippine flag, the loftiest symbolism of the struggles of the Filipino people, was put there, according to President Aguinaldo, as an homage to Freemasonry."

The original flag designed by Freemason Aguinaldo had a sun with a face on it inside a white triangle and the design was a tribute to the lodge to which he belonged! In fact the entire independence movement was freemasonic in origin and spirit. Even the national anthem came about due to the Freemasons. The untold story of our National Anthem is that the music and the lyrics came into being because of the inspiration and prompting of Freemasons.

Rafael Palma, who became Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the Philippines in 1920, wrote how the lyrics of the National Anthem came about, thus:

“During the leisure hours allowed by the daily and especially at night after the day’s work, the members of the staff of La Independencia, seeking to amuse themselves and to be relieved from their physical weariness, used to assemble together and sing or play on musical instruments. Their souls afflicted by the military situation, which was growing worse every day, needed spiritual elation, and they found it in singing war tunes and martial songs which made them forget the bitterness of a sad reality....

“It was in one of those occasions that Jose Palma saw the necessity of writing a poem for the words of the Marcha Nacional Filipina. Although this march was known since the beginning of the revolution and was hummed by everybody, it had not yet then any words accompanying it. To suit its music, he wrote a poem Filipinas, which was published for the first time in the issue of the first anniversary of La Independencia on Sept. 3, 1899. the spirit of his verses glowed with an optimistic faith in the future because (then) it was the general belief that it would be impossible for the American forces to dominate the entire archipelago.”

The music and the lyrics of our National Anthem no doubt came about when our forebears fought for their freedom and independence, but its patriotic message transcends their time. Patriotism is in the heart of the nationalists who love their country.

The involvement of Freemasons in the development of our National Anthem is more than a coincidence. The message is clear: Freemasons love Freedom. and the National Anthem bears the imprint of their devotion.

The fact is the Philippine National Anthem is thoroughly steeped in Freemasonry. It is absolutely not a bible based prophecy.

Unbelievably Tim is basing his interpretation of Revelation 12 on symbols rooted in and originating from Philippine Freemasonry! Is he really this dumb? Yes, he is. Timothy Jay Schwab is interpreting Bible prophecy through the lyrics of the Freemasonic Philippine national anthem which is irrational, insane, and is simply another lie The God Culture teaches about the Philippines.

Over the course of a score of articles I have systematically dismantled the teachings of Timothy Jay Schwab and The God Culture. Any right thinking person can see straight through the man as on the first listen their baloney detector should blare out a warning siren. Sadly this is not the case for many listeners as The God Culture's Youtube channel continues to grow with 115k subscribers as of this writing. So much for being censored. You do not get to 115k subscribers while being censored. 

Both the number of subscribers and the fact that many new viewers are watching because the Youtube algorithm recommended The God Culture's videos belies Tim's claim that Youtube is censoring him and his group.

It is the subscribers and viewers who drive the channel. Yet, I have not had much to say about them. Suffice to say many of them are deluded. Reading their comments it is apparent that some of these people do not have the mental capacity or methodological skills to do what Tim tells them to do which is "test all things," including him.

Silly me I thought the destruction of the towers was perpetrated by the US government as part of the Project for a New American Century's call for a new Pearl Harbour event as an excuse to gain control of the Gulf region. Think of all the effort one would have to go to in order to invent dinosaurs. A commenter asks if John the Baptist was the last rightful Aaronic High Priest and that he transferred that priesthood to Jesus Christ. Tim agrees that he was. The issue of the priesthood of Jesus Christ is very important for understanding His work and mission.

Hebrews 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Jesus Christ is made a priest "after the order of Melchisedec." The next chapter tells us what that means.

Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

It means the law has been changed. We have a better testament through Jesus Christ. One that is different from the Mosaic law. I'm not going to get into that here but it is important to know because The God Culture teaches that the law has not been changed and that we must still keep the Levitical law. That has caused some confusion amongst his viewers. One commenter wants to know how to keep the feasts.

Another commenter asked if we must offer sacrifices on the feast days and Tim replies no because Hebrews says that His blood, that is the blood of Jesus Christ, is sufficient and animal's blood is not. That is true but so is the fact that since Jesus is not a Levite priest that the law has been changed which means there is no more keeping the feasts. The Bible is very specific on how to keep the feasts and it includes sacrificing. Tim's answer that one must keep the feasts "even if not to the letter" is blasphemy since God requires us to follow all his instructions to a T. He has told us how to keep the feasts but Tim has decided to ignore God's rules for his own interpretation.

This commenter says that he debated with a Sunday school teacher who taught that Abraham worshipped idols. He said "the Bible does not say Abraham worshiped idols." Not only that but the Holy Spirit put that thought into his head. Tim agrees. But they are both wrong. The Bible does say Abraham worshipped idols.

Joshua 24:2 And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

The "they" in this verse refers to Terah, Abraham, and Nachor. It's pretty plain from this text that Abraham was an idolator who "served other gods." The notion that he did not comes from that Rabbinic midrashic tradition which Timothy loathes but which is firmly ensconced in Jubilees. In fact, in his video "Abraham Burns Down Temple of Idols" Tim uses a clip from a children's movie titled "Young Abraham" which is ENTIRELY BASED ON the Midrash. Tim, as ever, is wrong. First of all he cannot even tell this commenter the name of the film so that they can go look it up. Secondly. the movie is available to rent or buy on Amazon. Or you can watch the writer's commentary on the film uploaded to Facebook last year for the its tenth anniversary. Despite contradicting the scriptures Tim thinks the stories concerning Abraham in Jubilees actually fill in the gaps. Now he is thinking like the Rabbis whom he despises so much. These stories are just more proof that Jubilees is a Midrash or commentary and was not written by Moses and is not scripture.

The God Culture You mean the occult library of Alexandria? Why? We found the library of the very Temple Priests who were exiled to Qumran. Their library is the Bible at Messiah's time. It certainly proves tampering especially in the Pharisees deleting and adding books following by the Catholic Church who is really just a Pharisee concoction all the same. This commenter makes some rather bold and unfounded claims. He claims that Constantine tampered with the Old Testament and that he was a "known homosexual and pedophile." Sources please? One can simply read Eusebius' Life of Constantine as well as his History of the Church to dispel those lies. But all Tim can say is Yah Bless. 

The only thing Tim takes issue with is the commenter wishing the Library of Alexandria had not been lost. He calls it occult and says all we need is Qumran. But there is no "track" in history to the Qumran community being exiled priests who kept the pure and real Bible. That all comes from Tim's head. Unless one is ready to admit that these people were Essenes no one even knew of the existence of this community until 1947 when the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Jesus Christ Himself never challenged the legitimacy of the Pharisees or scribes but says that they sit in the seat of Moses and should be listened to.

And why would we want the texts that made up the Library of Alexandria? Because of all the knowledge about the ancient world they would contain, of course. One of the known lost books which was part of the collection of the Library of Alexandria is Eratosthenes' Geography, as well as the books which informed his work, wherein he proves the circumference of the earth. As it is we only have fragments. This book would unequivocally disprove Tim's false assertion that the Greeks thought the earth was flat.

While the Greeks were disabused of the notion of a flat earth they did believe in geocentricity. It would not be until the Renaissance that Nicolas Copernicus worked out the heliocentric model of the universe. But did you know that Copernicus was hired by the Catholics to push that model?

Copernicus died just as his book "On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres" went to print. His cause was later taken up by Galileo who was famously PERSECUTED by the Roman Catholic Church and was forced to recant his heliocentric beliefs. The God Culture Oh, those are the right questions. Few truly explore that and when you research it, you find the true ekklesia silenced in history. This is what Constantine really did. He eradicated the 7 churches in Turkey largely but not in whole. Tracking them though is difficult specifically. However, we can track the Lost Tribes of Israel whom this message did reach and many of the early ekklesia are there. Many pulled back from the cities in Turkey and went into the mountains of Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria in modern Kurdistan. The Southern Kingdom migrated en masse into Africa. This person is hearing Tim's strange doctrine and realizes that no Church has ever observed the Sabbath. She asks, "What happened to the True Church of God" and specifically the Seven Churches from the Book of Revelation. Tim responds that Constantine silenced the True Church and largely eradicated the Seven Churches. Really? Citation please. It never happened. Constantine was not an enemy to the Church. I know Tim will respond that Constantine ALTERED the practices of the Church and introduced a false religion founding the Holy Roman Empire but none of that ever happened. This is why it is important to be familiar with Church history. The Body of Christ, the visible Church, has been alive and well for 2000 years. Jesus Christ said he would build His Church and the gates of hell would not overcome it. This lady wants answers but all Tim has for her are lies.

If the True Church disappeared and was subverted and silenced in history then it would be IMPOSSIBLE for Tim to know what the Church is or that the so-called True Church was silenced. It's the same as saying there is no True Church.

The commenter asks a question that was solved long ago during the Donatist controversy. I won't get into that here. What's important is that Tim says "marriage is before Yahuah not any church." What a total hypocrite. I have called him out for a twice divorced woman being his second wife. Jesus says such a union is adultery. In response Tim appealed to the Church saying that they properly vetted him and his wife.

Timothy Jay Schwab lives in the Philippines with his beautiful wife, Anna Zamoranos-Schwab, a Filipina who works with him. The couple met at church in Florida where they ministered together for two years before deciding to court leading to marriage. After extensive prayer and vetting by the large church in which they ministered, they were married in that church by those pastors following Biblical and civil laws.

If "marriage is before Yahuah not any church" then all that vetting and prayer and following of so-called Biblical laws, there is no Biblical law that allows for a man to marry a divorced woman since Jesus forbids it, does not matter one whit. So, why does Tim boast about it as if it does? Because he is a hypocrite who cannot justify the unjustifiable. One moment his marriage is justified because it was sanctioned by the Church, the same Church he now rejects, and the next moment he does not need the Church to validate his marriage. He should pick one or the other because it cannot be both.

What they reveal is that these people are in no position to test anything Timothy Jay Schwab says. They are totally incapable of such an endeavor as evidenced by their lack of Biblical knowledge, their adherence to false histories, and their utter disdain for science. These people listen to Tim gladly and uncritically. Why? Because of all the positive things he has to say about the Philippines. But these aren''t just positive things. They are deluded fantasies based on twisted readings of both scripture and history. 

I am amazed that this man has any followers but I have to check myself because Quiboloy, the INC, the Mormons, and the Jehovah's Witnesses each have millions of followers and they all teach the most incredible lies. Truly human gullibility has no bounds. 

The God Culture: The Old Rugged Stake

Having realized that his first video about the cross was inadequate Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture has returned to give his audience a primer on the Greek work stauros.  Like the previous video it is very short running at 16 minutes and is not as in-depth as he thinks.

The Greek Stake: How Did the Greeks Use the Word Stauros in 16 MINUTES

Right away the problem with this video reveals itself in the title: "How did the Greeks use the word Stauros." Tim goes on to cite men who lived long before the Roman Empire such as Homer, Euripides, Thucydides, and Herodotus to prove that the Greeks always used stauros to mean a stake and never a t-shaped cross. But their testimony is not relevant as the REAL question is what Greek word would be used to indicate a Roman execution on a t-shaped cross. 

Tim gets close to answering that question when he cites the testimony of Seneca who was a citizen of the Roman Empire. 

9:48 However, very close to Yahusha's time, about 30 years or so after, very close, 65 AD Seneca the Stoic writes in Latin not Greek but he does something very telling. He lists different instruments of death and here he lists the Roman Crux or cross. Right? Oh but it's separately from a different implement of execution called the stake. A different Latin word pallus. Oops. In the same sentence. These are not the same thing. They are not synonymous as many try to say because because they are not the history is fraud.

This guy never ceases to amaze. Here is the full quote:

First of all Senca is writing in Latin and not Greek as even Tim notes so his testimony should not even be included in a video about a Greek word.

Second of all the stake Sencea writes about is not a pole someone is tied to but one which is thrust through a man's anus and out of his throat! And even Tim says Jesus was not impaled. So this instrument of execution would not even apply to Jesus Christ. Of course there is a difference between being nailed to a t-shaped cross or stake and being impaled. 

Seneca is of no help to us at all. 

Who is of help is Justin Martyr. In the Dialogue with Trypho he writes:

God does not permit the lamb of the passover to be sacrificed in any other place than where His name was named; knowing that the days will come, after the suffering of Christ, when even the place in Jerusalem shall be given over to your enemies, and all the offerings, in short, shall cease; and that lamb which was commanded to be wholly roasted was a symbol of the suffering of the cross which Christ would undergo. For the lamb, which is roasted, is roasted and dressed up in the form of the cross. For one spit is transfixed right through from the lower parts up to the head, and one across the back, to which are attached the legs of the lamb.

The Greek word being translated as cross is "σταυροῦ". Which is the same Greek word translated "cross" in the New Testament. Here is the Greek of Justin:

The image of the roasted lamb with it being roasted on two sticks, one across the back and the other from the lower parts to the head, is clearly that of a cross. To describe a cross Justin used Stauros which can mean pole but in this case clearly does not. 

Tim ends by showing a picture of how Jesus was "staked."

If Jesus was nailed to a stake with his arms above his head and not crucified arms akimbo on a t-shaped cross where would there be room for this writing which was placed on the cross? It would have to have been very large since it was written in three languages whose letters were big enough for everyone to read. 

Once again Timothy Jay Schwab has failed to make any case for Jesus dying on the old Rugged Pole. He asks "How did the Greeks use the word Stauros" when the proper question is what Greek word would be used to describe a Roman crucifixion. 

The testimony of men who did not live under the Roman Empire and witness a crucifixion is irrelevant. Seneca, who makes a difference between crucifixion and impalement, is also no good because he is writing in Latin. But at least we learn from him there is a difference between crucifixion and impalement on a stake. Note that Seneca does not say tied or nailed to a stake but IMPALED on it which absolutely does not apply to Jesus Christ.
