The God Culture: Dishonestly Edited Videos

It was my intent in three blog posts to look at the God Culture's claims and give them an honest critique.  I posted links to two of those blogs on the God Culture's Facebook page so they would have a chance to respond. Instead of dealing with the issues I raised they insulted me and made emotional appeals while copping an attitude of victory as if my criticisms were nothing and they did not care what I had to say. All the while behind the scenes it appears I really struck a nerve so much so that Tim and his gang have taken the time to remove and edit three of the very videos I criticized. I am aware they edited a few other videos too but I didn't watch those so I won't comment on them.

Here is the message they left on my previous post:
There is nothing erroneous in our research. A YouTube Channel quoting a source is normal. It is rare a YT channel sites anywhere near as much as we have and this is a ludicrous track of negative nothing. We have been updating our videos with more extensive sources and even page #s so thank you for pointing this out but let us not pretend you have a gotcha because you do not and you can stop with the act. What is truly laughable is we went back and listened and we never mention Suarez in that slide at all but the Periplus. We have removed Suarez completely and we have added quotes from Nowell proving your thinking that Suarez was right is wrong and Magellan proved that. You found nothing. Enough. We have more than satisfied your questions and we changed our videos already accordingly as one seeking truth should and would. We are also focused on larger print for the sources as the one you criticized was actually even larger than 30 pt but 40 pt in our program but we do get your point on that and we are responding to that as we have responded to your questions fully. There is nothing further to discuss on these

They changed their videos! I couldn't believe it but it's true.  They deleted videos 2, 3, and 4 from their 100 Clues series in order to alter them. You know I feel a little flattered.  Now if only I could get the Senate to launch a proper investigation into the causes surrounding the Marawi siege!

What did they change?  Let's take a good hard look. Here is the playlist once again.

Clue #2

This is the video where they claim that the Philippines is the ancient source of Greek gold. Here is the very first change in their slides.

Original:

Edited:

You see what Tim did here?  He excised the reference to Thomas Suarez's book "Early Mapping of Southeast Asia" from the slide. But that does not matter because he is still referencing it in the audio when he talks about Chryse and Argyre.

Contrary to what the God Culture says their reference is not in 30 or 40 point font but is in VERY TINY FONT at the bottom of the slide. If you do go to the link they provide which is https://depts.washington.edu/silkroad/texts/periplus/periplus.html you will find nothing about Argyre, the legendary island of silver, in the whole text of the "Periplus of the Erythaean Sea." Because the audio has not been changed from the original any talk of Argyre in the edited video still comes directly from Suarez who mentions Argyre by quoting Pompoinous Mela. Tim also falsifies what Mela actually wrote about Argyre by claiming it is "placed beyond the Ganges" rather than "in the vicinity of the Ganges."  Here is the quote from Saurez:
Gold and silver, in fact, characterize the earliest extant specific Western Reference to Southeast Asia. Pomponius Mela (37 - 43 A.D.), a Roman geographer and native os Southern Spain, largely carried on the Greek tradition about the East, perpetuating stories about Amazons, people without heads, griffins, and other such characters, but adds two lands which lay to the east of India. One was Chryse, said to boast soil of gold, the other, Argyre, said to have soil of silver:
In the vicinity of Tamus is the island of Chryse, in the vicinity of the Ganges that of Argyre, According to olden writers, the soil of the former consists of gold, that of the latter is of silver and it seems very probable that either the name arises from this fact or the legend derives from the name.
This makes the God Culture's claim:
"we never mention Suarez in that slide at all but the Periplus"
just another lie. Did Tim not realize there is no mention of Argyre in the "Periplus?" At 2:20 he says the following:
"Periplus of the Erytheaen Sea in the first century records Chryse and Argyre as being located in "the last part of the inhabited world toward the east, under the rising sun itself beyond the land of China which brought silk to India." Gee, umm I don't know which islands are east of China? Wait! Ethiopia? Nope, that's not it! Yemen?  No. India? Ugh! Someone must know their geography very well in speculating that those guys could possibly be this ancient land of gold. It's the Philippines. Oh yeah! And they also map it.  So really this is not rocket science folks."
The section highlighted in red italics shows just how condescending Tim is to his listeners. He talks this way in every single one of his videos. Here is the section from the Periplus he is referencing.
63.   After these, the course turns toward the east again, and sailing with the ocean to the right and the shore remaining beyond to the left, Ganges comes into view, and near it the very last land toward the east, Chryse. There is a river near it called the Ganges, and it rises and falls in the same way as the Nile. On its bank is a market-town which has the same name as the river, Ganges. Through this place are brought malabathrum and Gangetic spikenard and pearls, and muslins of the finest sorts, which are called Gangetic. It is said that there are gold-mines near these places, and there is a gold coin which is called caltis. And just opposite this river there is an island in the ocean, the last part of the inhabited world toward the east, under the rising sun itself; it is called Chryse; and it has the best tortoise-shell of all the places on the Erythraean Sea.
Not only does the Periplus not mention Argyre but it locates Chryse as being near the Ganges. "Just opposite this river" in fact. Tim claims this text says it is located "beyond the land of China." Did he even read the Periplus? Or did he pick through it, combine information from elsewhere, and make up his own facts? Let' compare where Tim, Mela, and the Periplus locate Chryse and Argyre.
Tim: Chryse is beyond the land of China and Argyre is beyond the Ganges.
Mela: Chryse is in the vicinity of Tamus and Argyre is in the vicinity of the Ganges.
Periplus: Chryse is near the Ganges just opposite of it and there is no mention of Argyre.
See how Tim does not agree with the sources he is quoting? He says something completely different from both Mela and the Periplus.

Tim kept the same audio which refers to Suarez and changed the slide to appear as if he did not. He also misrepresents the Periplus as saying it mentions Argyre and that the island of Chryse lies "beyond the land of China" when it makes no mention of Argyre and clearly says Chryse lies just opposite of the Ganges. That is deception. But why be so deceptive? It doesn't make any sense and it doesn't further his cause.  It only exposes him as at best a poor researcher who misrepresents and does not read his sources and at worst a liar.

Starting at 3:26 in this video is where we get an entirely new section. In this part he quotes from a different  source, "Magellan's voyage around the world; three contemporary accounts," by Charles Nowell.

This book contains the account of Pigafetta and other documentation. Tim does not quote from any of the primary sources but only from the introductory material by Nowell. This is all rather dumbfounding because the subject of this video is the Philippines being the ancient source of Greek gold and Nowell's book says absolutely nothing about the Greeks. It's totally out of place.

Tim quotes a bit from pages 21 and 22 but I think it would behoove us to quote a little more starting on page 20 and going to page 23.
Duarte Barbosa, who wrote a geographical account of the countries bordering on the Indian Ocean and those within range of the ocean, has this to say of the Ryukyu inhabitants:
From Malaca they take the same goods as the Chins [Chinese] take. These islands are called Lequios [in one version ‘Liquii']. The Malaca people say that they are better men, and richer and more eminent merchants than the Chins. Of these folk we as yet know but little, as they have not yet come to Malaca since it has been under the King our Lord.”
The Duarte Barbosa who wrote this book has been identified by some with the Portuguese of the same name who became Magellan's cousin by marriage and accompanied him on his great voyage. Medina has shown that this was probably not the same man, but it makes little difference.” The Barbosa book was finished by 1516 and was available in manuscript to Magellan as he studied to complete his plan in Portugal before transferring allegiance to Spain. Magellan digested Barbosa's work and with his own hand rewrote one passage, which consisted of a list of places between the Cape of Good Hope and the Lequios that were known but not yet occupied by the Portuguese. Magellan's version substitutes for Barbosa's “Lequios” the words “Tarsis” and “Ofir.””

These are, of course, the biblical Tarshish and Ophir associated with Solomon and his trading partner, Hiram of Tyre. In I Kings 10:11 the statement is: “And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.” II Chronicles 9:21 says: “For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.” Elsewhere these Old Testament books agree in saying that Solomon received more than four hundred talents of gold from Ophir.

We shall not enter into the centuries-old debate as to what and where these lands actually were. The writer of I Kings certainly meant that the journey to Ophir began by way of the Red Sea, because in connection with Ophir (9:26) he says: “And the king Solomon made a navy of ships in Ezion-geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.” Later Christian writers for centuries associated the gold of Ophir with East Africa, but at the time of the Portuguese discoveries Ophir was thought of as the Aurea Chersonnesus (Golden Peninsula) of Ptolemy, in which that Greek geographer also placed Cattigara, mentioned by Pigafetta as the immediate transpacific goal of Magellan. But Magellan connected Solomon's treasure with something else he had read in Barbosa:

"Facing this great land of China there are many islands in the sea, beyond which [on the other side of the sea] there is a very large land which they say is mainland, from which there come to Malacca every year three or four ships, like those of the Chins, belonging to white men who are said tobe great and rich merchants: they bring much gold, and silver in bars, silk, rich cloth, and much very good wheat, beautiful porcelains, and many other merchandises.”
Barbosa, in mentioning this great land across the water from China, might have been referring to Japan. More likely, though, he meant the island of Taiwan, or Formosa, separated by the Gulf of Fukien from mainland China. At the time Barbosa wrote, the Portuguese can scarcely have had information about Japan. They had some regarding Formosa and the Ryukyus, whose exact latitudinal position they did not know but correctly placed northward of Malacca and the Moluccas and hence north of the equator. These are obviously what Magellan took to be Tarshish and Ophir.
If further proof is needed that he sought these places in addition to the Moluccas, we have it in the agreement between the Spanish crown and Sebastian Cabot. On April 4, 1525, less than six years after Magellan sailed, Cabot, now pilot major of Spain, signed a contract to make much the same voyage, though with objectives more concisely stated. He offered to go with three ships through the Strait of Magellan to reach the Moluccas “and other islands and lands of Tarshish and Ophir and eastern Cathay and Cipangu.” “The Spanish government had preferred to leave the names Tarshish and Ophir out of the earlier Magellan contract, but now that the western route to the Orient had been discovered, security regulations could be relaxed to the extent of openly mentioning the biblical lands.
We now see what Magellan's aim in the Far East was: He expected to claim for Spain the Moluccas and the lands known to Solomon and Hiram of Tyre. It remains to be shown how he expected to reach those lands, and for this we must understand his mental image of the New World across the Atlantic.
https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.31822013755558&view=1up&seq=34
It is a long quote but rather necessary. What we see here is Magellan himself falsifying Barbosa's text and inserting "Ophir" and "Tarshish" when Barbosa had written no such thing. We also see that Nowell refers just as everyone else does, including Suarez, to the Aurea Chersonnesus as being the Golden peninsula. That is literally what the name means. But Tim discounts everything Nowell has written, admits he is a good scholar, and calls his conclusions wrong. He says at 8:44
"One blogger even said, "Why use an author if you do not agree with his conclusions?" Well, a lot can still be gleaned from the research many times so obviously it's a good thing to do that.  It is unwise not to."
Tim is not just gleaning from one author. He is gleaning from multiple sources and no one of any repute identifies the Aurea Chersonnesus as anything except the Malay peninsula.

Yes I know Tim does not quote this book. The title and subtitle is what is important.

However Tim doesn't care what any scholar says. It is Timothy Jay Schwab, (a man who is no trained cartographer, geographer, oceanographer, historian, linguist, or theologian), who is right, and all the academics who have dedicated their entire lives to studying history, languages, cartography, theology, or geography are wrong. Don't misunderstand me here. Sometimes the scholars, academics, and experts are wrong. Case in point Heinrich Schliemann the amateur archaeologist who discovered the ruins of Troy.  But what Tim is doing is rejecting a solid body of geography and history stretching back to Ptolemey which identifies the Aurea Chersonnesus as the Malay peninsula and twisting it to fit his pseudo-history of the Philippines being both the Garden of Eden and Ophir and Tarshish and Filipinos being members of the lost tribes of Israel.

Tim mentions Columbus and says the following at 9:27
Are we to now call America "Southeast Asia" because Columbus said it was Southeast Asia? Of course not.
But this is exactly what Tim is doing with the Philippines! He is calling this place Ophir because Magellan falsified Barbosa's book and introduced the names Ophir and Tarshish. Tim is ok with this falsification.  In fact in the video "Solomon's Gold Series - Part 6: Little Known History of Ophir. Philippines History" at 7:46 Tim says the following:

https://youtu.be/12tOU7Szbpk
"In "Magellan's Voyage Around the World" the author Charles E Nowell, notes that Magellan himself had rewritten part of Barbosa's book referring to the Lequios and in his version Magellan substituted "Tarsis" and "Ofir" for the word "Lequios." So "Lequios" equals "Tarshish" and "Ophir." This is huge."
Wow this really is huge!  Magellan falsifies a book and Tim thinks what he wrote is the truth. In Tim's world truth is whatever you want it to be. Lequios is Ophir and Tarshish because Magellan said so. Just as, despite the Philippines being comprised of 7,000 islands, two tiny islands on an old map are the Philippines because Tim says so.

In numerous videos Timothy Schwab claims the two mythical islands of gold and silver, Chryse and Argyre, are Luzon and Mindanao respectively and he uses Mela's map as proof. However not only does Mela have Argyre located at the mouth of the Ganges near India while Mindanao is nowhere near India but none of the rest of the Philippines is accounted for! Tim expects us to believe that the Greeks visited the Philippines and accurately mapped the Philippines BUT somehow forgot to include the Visayas and misplaced Mindanao thousands of miles away at the mouth of the Ganges River!

The next edited slide is the one with the Greek armor.

How can Tim with a straight face tell us at 13:56
"The thing is these are indisputably Greek from the symbols and structure and they are dated all the way back to 800 B.C. up to about 480 B.C."
when on the slide he has written "Archaeology confirmation pending?" Is it confirmed and indisputable or is the confirmation still pending? As with the first edited slide he keeps the original audio and only changes the slide. The result is a contradiction between the audio and the visual. What a boner from Tim the Joker!

Thankfully Tim listed the place where he saw this armor which is the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center Museum in Butuan. Sadly there is no website for this hotel/museum and thus no online collection to look at.  However I was able to find a picture of the armor displayed in a glass case outside the entrance to the museum.

Why not just tell everyone the first time around where he saw it? How is anyone supposed to confirm all things when information is being withheld?
That's it for Clue #2. Let's recap everything we have learned so far.  Tim excises Suarez as a a source but still utilizes him when talking about Argyre because the Periplus of the Erythaean Sea does not mention Argyre. He misrepresents the Periplus' location of Chryse and Mela's location of Argyre. He quotes from Nowell but ignores everything he says especially his identification of the Aurea Chersonnesus. He is ok with the fact that Magellan inserted "Ophir" and "Tarshish" into Barbosa's book thus falsifying it. He says the armor is indisputably Greek while on the slide he contradicts himself by having written "Archeological confirmation pending!"

This edited video is worse than the original because it contains blunder after blunder as Tim tries to cover up his tracks, like removing Suarez from the slide but not from the audio, and it is also about 10 minutes longer because he added the totally unnecessary section with Nowell!  Moving on.

Clue #3

This is the video where we are told Philippine gold was found in first century Egypt. My criticisms of this video were that Tim did not quote from any of the three sources he cites and one of them, J.T. Peralta, he cites erroneously. So what does Tim do to rectify this mess? Does he make a correction of the Peralta citation? No! He gets rid of Peralta altogether!

Original:

Edited:

Let's look at his new sources which are still in the same VERY TINY FONT!
Sources: Wikipedia, Ancientblogspot.ph cite
1. Legeza, Laszlo, "Tantric Elements in pre-Hispanic Philippines Gold Art," Arts of Asia, July-Aug, 1988, pp 129-136.
2 Villegas, Ramon N. "Ginto: History Wrought in Gold", Manila: Bangko Central ng Pilipinas", 2004
Tim in his infinite wisdom eighty-sixed the Peralta citation as if that clears everything up. If he was attempting to be honest he would have corrected the citation and not deleted it. He still does not prove to us Philippine gold was found in first century Egypt by quoting the relevant matter from the two remaining sources he listed. It is also still badly cited. What Wikipedia page is he sourcing? What is Ancientblogspot.ph? That is not even a website! It is just another boner on Tim's part. How many more boners can Tim make?

Towards the end of the video he inserts a new section which is a timeline.

This timeline is supposed to prove that the Philippines has more gold than any nation in the world at any time. I never disputed that. What I did dispute is Tim's baseless assertion that Philippine gold has been found in first century Egypt. Since he took the time to edit this video and still did not include any quotations from Legeza or Villegas it's a safe bet he has not actually read those sources.

Clue #4

Tim edited this video but I don't care because I never took any issue with what was in the original.  The Boxer Codex shows Filipinos decked out in gold. That was never under question.

Summation and End

I only have a few more things to show before I close out. In my original post I wrote:
I can just hear Tim now excoriating me for watching only 6 videos in the 100 Clues series rather then the whole Solomon's Gold series and saying I am uninformed, a hack, and a fraud. Such would be pure deflection on Tim's part as I have already demonstrated his research is incredibly biased, faulty, and downright dishonest. If he cannot deal honestly with his sources here he won't be dealing honestly with them there either.
https://philippinefails.blogspot.com/2020/02/the-god-culture-100-clues-philippines.html
Sure enough I was called all of those names and Tim's editing of these videos shows his outright dishonesty in dealing with sources both in the 100 Clues series and elsewhere. He may have edited out Suarez from Clue #2 and Peralta from Clue #3 but these two sources are scattered throughout the rest of his videos including the Solomon's Gold series

In the video for Clue #30 at 12:11 we see Timothy quoting Suarez.

https://youtu.be/mCM371q6_AU

Of course in discussing Argyre he is compelled to cite Mela via Suarez because the "Periplus" does not mention Argyre. Remember every slide that follows which claims the Periplus locates Chryse "beyond the land of China" and Argyre "beyond the Ganges" is a lie. As I demonstrated above the Periplus does not say that nor does Mela.

Clue #33 at 21:23 contains this same quotation from Suarez.

https://youtu.be/q0zY1NYsJCA

In the video "Solomon's Gold Series Part 1C: UPHAZ GOLD & OPHIR. Origin of Gold Sheba, Tarshish, Havilah" at 8:27 we see the following slide:

https://youtu.be/jQWp_OPfEXA

In the video "Let There Be Light... Philippines? Origin of Ophir, Sheba and Havilah. 12G" at 12:58 we see this slide:

https://youtu.be/Xm6REaRW7nw

Suarez is quoted again in the video "Solomon's Gold Series - Part 6: Little Known History of Ophir. Philippines History" at both 18:19 and 19:29.

https://youtu.be/12tOU7Szbpk

https://youtu.be/12tOU7Szbpk

It is pretty clear that Thomas Suarez's book "Early Mapping of Southeast Asia" is an important source for Tim. So why did he delete it from Clue #2 when he includes it in several other videos? He still rejects what Suarez has to say as to the identification of Chryse, Argyre, and the Aurea Chersonnesus but that is no big deal to Tim who picks and chooses, or rather gleans, what will confirm his thesis like any good and honest scholar.

At 32:03, and for almost seven straight minutes, in the video "Solomon's Gold Series - Part 6: Little Known History of Ophir. Philippines History" we see the same three citations that were used to claim Philippine gold was found in first century Egypt which are Legeza, Peralta, and Villegas. But again no actual quotations from them.

https://youtu.be/12tOU7Szbpk

Look closely because those citations are in VERY TINY FONT underneath all the text. At 41:40 in the same video we see this slide:

It's the same claim of Philippine gold being found in first century Egypt with the same three citations and with no actual quotations from those sources. Tim goes on to show us not actual Philippine gold found in Egypt but the similarity between a Philippine gold necklace and an Egyptian gold necklace. As if similarity of style proves his claim.

In the video "Solomon's Gold Series Part 1D: Testing the RESOURCES of Ancient Ophir, Tarshish, Sheba" we see the following slide at 21:39:

https://youtu.be/gG39WFEYfiU

The same claim about Egypt with the same three sources as were in the video Clue #3 before he edited it is to be found right here.  Obviously Tim thinks these three sources are important which is why they are included in the main series Solomon's Gold which he tells everyone to watch!

What is going on here? Why is Timothy Schwab and the God Culture being dishonest about their sources? Why edit information out of some videos when other videos include the exact same information? These edits do not make any sense whatsoever. They are totally absurd and don't add to the veracity of their claims. They are not even good edits because, as in Clue #2, the original audio is kept and only the slide is changed!

The God Culture has been posting HUGE BLOCKS of text in the comment section on this blog. They have insulted me, they have made appeals to emotion (like the testimony of the lawyer), and they have manifested a triumphalist attitude ignoring everything I wrote about their poor research and documentation. In comment after comment they disdain what I have written as the work of an ignorant hack. They even called me a communist agitator twelve times!

But in private it is obvious I struck a nerve or they would not have edited their videos. They put up an offensive front when they knew I was right all along as these edits prove. But the edits cannot obscure what is in the main series Solomon's Gold which is Thomas Suarez and J.T. Peralta being used to bolster their claims.  Is Tim going to edit those videos too?  Will he be an honest man and quote the Periplus accurately? Will he be a good researcher and actually order the articles by Legeza and Peralta from Arts of Asia? The burden of proof lies squarely on Tim, not me. It would be better if Tim and the gang simply believed the sources they cite rather than make up their own facts, like Magellan did when he rewrote Barbosa's book, in order to propagate their pseudo-history.

As I wrote before, "If he cannot deal honestly with his sources here he won't be dealing honestly with them there either." Tim's quick editing and reposting of his videos without the same sources he utilizes elsewhere reeks of dishonesty. This is just a tiny sampling of the God Culture's output. I can't imagine what duplicitous twisting of facts lies in their other videos. And yet thousands of people are being taken in by this garbage.

P.S.

After writing all of the above I must add a postscript. The God Culture is adding links to their videos which have sources for people to check up on and confirm. That's a good thing. Why didn't they do this earlier? However they are still making blunders.

https://f2568e15-4b6b-4cbb-b68a-3d729eeed9e4.filesusr.com/ugd/e23929_c5850fbfa12d4a3390a6a541db01540d.pdf

Let me this get this straight. Tim edits Suarez out of the video for Clue #2 saying he wasn't quoting Saurez anyway but now he includes him in this PDF as a "Supporting Research Source!?" Then why did he edit him out of Clue #2?  It makes zero sense!

The little note requires our attention.
NOTE: Under Fig. 31 is the exact quote we cited for the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea (1st Century C.E.)
“the last part of the inhabited world toward the east, under the rising sun itself”
The note says the exact quote is "“the last part of the inhabited world toward the east, under the rising sun itself.” But in this video Tim says much more than just that. He says at 17:36
"the last part of the inhabited world toward the east, under the rising sun itself beyond the land of This (China) which brought silk to India"
https://youtu.be/12tOU7Szbpk
Tim says this making it appear as if he is quoting the Periplus as locating Chryse beyond China! It doesn't. It says it is just opposite of the Ganges. Why doesn't he tell us exactly what he is quoting and what are his own words? It's simply confusing and dishonest. See above where I already discussed this.

In this PDF mention is made of Peralta and the Philippine gold allegedly found in Egypt. See the relevant slide above.
16. PH Gold found in Egypt: Wikipedia, AncientBlogspot. ph and many others cite 1 Legeza, Laszlo. “Tantric Elements in pre-Hispanic Philippines Gold Art,” Arts of Asia, July-Aug. 1988, pp.129-136. 2 Villegas, Ramon N. Ginto: History Wrought in Gold, Manila: Bangko Central ng Pilipinas, 2004. (FYI. Peralta is out of print but cited as well.)
This is basically the same edit as was made in the video for Clue #3. Instead of correcting the erroneous Peralta citation they leave it in the video and remove it from the sources listed in this PDF. Why didn't they just give the correct citation?

They also mess up the citations again. What Wikipedia article or articles are they sourcing? AncientBlogspot.ph IS NOT A WEBSITE!!  The FYI about Peralta being out of print is a non-issue because so is Legeza and it is Legeza, though not cited here as such, that has the reference to Philippine gold being found in Egypt.
"Legeza, Laszlo. "Tantric Elements in pre-Hispanic Philippines Gold Art," Arts of Asia, July-Aug. 1988, pp.129-136. (Mentions gold jewelry of Philippine origin in first century CE Egypt)"
Both Legeza and Peralta can be ordered and shipped to the Philippines for $15 per article. I'm not going to do any research for Tim and order those articles. The burden of proof lies on him not me.

The God Culture: The Philippines is the Garden of Eden, the Land of Ophir, and Filipinos are Members of the Lost Tribes of Israel

Who doesn't want to believe they have a destiny? Who doesn't want to believe there is more out there for them than their normal humdrum life? Who doesn't want to believe they belong to a people with a collective special purpose? That even though now they are downtrodden, the scum of the earth, the lowest of the low at some time in the future they will rise up and cast off their chains and boldly rush in to claim their inheritance!

The story of the poor downtrodden nobody who is really a princess or a chosen one is ubiquitous. From Cinderella to Star Wars to the Matrix the story of a poor oppressed person or an unknown neophyte chosen one rising up to riches or leading the people to victory abounds.

What if you were part of a people group who have been essentially colonised for 500 years and have practically lost all real sense of culture from before that time? What if someone came along and said, "You have been lied to all this while and I can give you the answers to who you are?" Don't you think those people would prick up their ears and listen?

I introduce to you The God Culture.

The God Culture is a Youtube channel and website promoting the idea that the Philippines is the location of the garden of Eden, King Solomon's mines (the land of Ophir), and that Filipinos are part of the lost tribes of Israel.  There are 85 videos on the channel and many of them are over an hour long which makes sorting through this series overwhelming. What I hope to do here is give a very brief taste of what is in these videos.

The best place to start is this video which is an animated 6 minute recap of the series about the lost tribes.

This picture shows us that members of the northern nation of Israel settled in Kurdistan (that is the red county) but some members decided to sail far away to the land of Ophir which is the Philippines.

This picture shows us how these lost tribesmen have been dispersed throughout all nations according to Bible prophecy and that is due to the OFW program. Starting at 4:22 we hear:
The lost ten tribes of the northern kingdom in the Philippines through its overseas workers programs have now spread literally into every nation on earth and from Kurdistan the lost tribes have scattered into 66 countries but they retain their Filipino and Kurdish identities mostly.
That's right the OFW program is Bible prophecy in action.

The yellow in this picture represents the dispersion of the Jews after 70 AD and the fall of Jerusalem. The narrator, his name is Timothy Jay Schwab, has this to say at 4:43
And the three southern kingdom tribes of Africa were scattered all over the Americas, Europe, and even Asia many as slaves in the most brutal and evil of deportations again scattered but they too retained their identity with their homeland.
Have you spotted what's wrong yet? Let me tell you. The Israelites are Semitic people descended from Shem.  All Middle Eastern people groups are Semitic.  Are Filipinos Semites? Are the black Africans who were enslaved in the Americas Semites? The answer to both questions is NO! As for the Kurds they come from Iran and are wandering nomads with no relation to Israel whatsoever. Right away his whole story falls apart solely based on race.

A Kurd, Filipino, and American slave. Do these people look like they are from the same genetic group?

The second place to go is this video which is a 28 minute long recap of the videos proving that the Philippines is both the garden of Eden and the land of Ophir, Solomon's mines. The Philippines has a surprisingly long history of being identified as Ophir and that claim is not limited to this series of videos.

At 2:02 Timothy Schwab says:
In the Book of Jubilees which was considered canon scripture and inspired by the ancients John the Baptist and even the early church fathers....
Here is where a huge crux of Timothy's argument lies. Throughout all of his videos he is constantly referring to the Book of Jubilees as if it is a reliable piece of scripture and history. He even has an entire video dedicated to its defence. For now let's just say unequivocally that the Book of Jubilees was never a part of anyone's canon expect the Ethiopian church and a small Jewish sect. Let's look at two more pictures from this recap video before we explore that.

In this picture we see that Noah's ark landed on Mt. Everest! Did he not read the text he is quoting? The flood waters only rose 15 cubits which is 22 feet! Mt. Everest is 29,000 feet high!! Obviously the ark did not land on Mt. Everest.

In this picture we see one of the most creative aspects of his whole revisionist history. The wisemen from the east who visited the child Jesus bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh all came from the Philippines! Is your mind blown yet? No? Well hold on to your butts!

In his defence of the Book of Jubilees Timothy Jay Schwab cites John the Baptist as holding to its inspiration and canonicity. He does this by asserting the the Dead Sea Scrolls were the personal library of John the Baptist.

At 51:35 in this video we hear:
So let's address some questions that arise as a result of proving that John the Baptist lived in Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls represent John's library.
At 52:24:
But was this the library of John the Baptist? I mean really? Can we say that? Yes. We believe we have proven he lived there and even after his death his disciples would have kept an eye on these. All the Dead Sea Scrolls are they inspired? Are they canon? Are they scripture? We get that a lot whenever we use Jubilees or Enoch for that matter. According to John it appears they are indeed inspired. They are canon. But we will go through each one to further test this to be sure. Even if it is determined that some of the writings may not be scripture it does not mean they are not useful which is what really matters. That is the right question.
You got to hand it to Timothy and his team of researchers, this is an original thesis. The Book of Jubilees was indeed among one of the texts found in the caves at Qumran. Numerous scrolls were hidden away in vases in 11 caves in Qumran and the complete list can be found here. As long as they are useful to prove what he wants to prove then they are all good even if they are not part of the canon. This begs the question about the pagan poets the Apostle Paul quoted in his preaching and letters. Should we now elevate them to the level of scripture? Why not?

Good luck going through each one of the scrolls which were found and figuring out what is and is not scripture. What measure will Timothy Schwab use to make that determination? Here is what he says at 5:38 in his video defending the Book of Jubilees:
But let's be clear. That canon was chosen by the Catholic Church which has never nor ever will have the authority to censor nor add a single book to the original canon of scripture.
With that statement we know right away we are dealing with a man who does not understand the history of the formation of the canon. The canon took centuries to be defined. It wasn't done at a single council or by the Catholic Church. It was Athanasius who first wrote down the now accepted New Testament canon while his Old Testament canon adds books rejected and excludes books accepted today. Even then there was still debate over certain books like Hebrews, James, and Revelation. Timothy Jay Schwab also appears to have very little understanding of church history whatsoever when he refers to a monolithic Catholic Church. The church, until the schism of 1054, encompassed East and West and the councils were affirmed by all. But what need does he have for the church anyway? This is a man who consistently says we must challenge tradition and who has written:
The God Culture is a group of independent researchers not affiliated with any denomination nor organization.
https://www.thegodculture.com/
Timothy and his crew are not a part of anything. They are totally outside the church. Who is this guy anyway? Just another white saviour! That's right. He is a white guy living in Delray Beach, Florida who is married to a Filipina and through his studies God has enlightened him to knowledge which has been hidden away for centuries and now Timothy is His herald to the Philippines.

https://youtu.be/ycOWVQ__1ow

Like Prometheus he comes bearing fire to enlighten the minds of the Filipinos as to their true identity. Timothy Jay Schwab is a true gnostic and revealer of the secret fire. Listen to the interview in the link underneath the above picture. What he says in essence is that the facts he is promoting are truths that have been hidden for centuries. Not only have they been hidden but they have been wilfully suppressed by the Jesuits among other people. Now they are coming to light and it is time for Filipinos to RISE up! RISE Up is literally the name of the conferences they just had across the nation.

Why is this white man the one who is bringing the knowledge? When Israel was delivered from Egypt it was Moses, an Israelite, who delivered the people. Why did God not reveal this knowledge to a Filipino, an Israelite?

The fate of the ten northern tribes of Israel have been the subject of speculation for centuries. It seems as if everyone has claimed to be part of the lost tribes. From British Israelites to Black Hebrews to even certain groups in East Africa the lost tribes have been traced all over the world. I wonder what Timothy thinks of the claims of the British Israelites. Does he even know about them? Does he know about the Stone of Scone or the Behistun inscription? How about the prophecies given to Ephraim and Manasseh? I think it's time to end this but I want to leave you with two real gems I found in his videos.

First up is this video at 14:22:

Can you think, by the way, of a more peaceable multitude than the Filipinos? We can't.
Spoken like a man who has never lived in this country! I suppose the peaceableness of Filipinos is why every house is surrounded by a barbed wire topped fence and every business has an armed guard.

The second is from the same video at 34:07:

So check this out! Malacañang ti Amianan..."Bring the messenger of God from Manasseh to protect my people!" Now some may read that as Marcos and maybe it is but we are not saying that because you will find this tribe in more than one place in the Philippines and we don't know whether we can say Marcos was sent from God or not. But you know, even Solomon who was appointed and anointed by YAHUAH God did not prove out to be a very good king in the end.  Yet he was anointed by YAHUAH God. He took many riches for himself and he really taxed the people. The Bible says he was hard on his people. Not justifying but we still wonder if we even know that full story properly. Especially with all the CIA disinformation which usually bears out to have numerous falsehoods in our research. So we'll render no opinion but this palace is the story here.
Timothy Jay Schwab is a Marcos apologist. That's what I get from this brief clip. And if you are wondering what YAHUAH is you will have to watch his name of God video series where he tells us how to pronounce the name of God. Every single lost tribe group, without fail, has their own way to pronounce the name of God and of Jesus. Timothy is not unique in this endeavour.

There is so much more I could bring up here but I don't want to expand beyond the bounds of a simple blog post. I have been an off and on student of the lost tribes for years. Also I have delved into church history and the writings of the fathers and the traditions of the church before the schism and I can say without a doubt Timothy Jay Schwab and the God Culture is more ignorant Protestant nonsense which everyone would do good to stay away from.

Post Script

I sent the following email to God Culture via their website:
Dear Timothy Jay Schwab
A few days ago I wrote to you at schwabmarketing@gmail.com but have yet to receive a response so I am writing to you again through this website contact form in hopes of getting a quicker response.
I have composed a response and review of your Youtube videos and claims for my blog https://philippinefails.blogspot.com. However before I publish it I have a few questions I hope you will answer.
1.  You claim to not be part of a denomination or organization yet according to https://talbotspy.org/the-shore-life-magazine-marks-first-anniversary-with-expansion-plans/ you were once a youth pastor and elsewhere you indicate that you were the worship leader at a few churches https://www.linkedin.com/in/tim-schwab-a44173b5/. Are you still part of a church and if so what kind of church?
2. Are you a trinitarian? Do you believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit share one nature and are three separate persons? Or are you a oneness pentecostal who believes that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are manifestations of the same being?
3. You give a lot of detailed linguistic information in your videos comparing Hebrew with Tagalog asserting that similarity of sound equals similarity of origin. What background in linguistics do you possess? Have you studied Hebrew or Taglog at a collegiate level?
4. Have you ever lived in the Philippines? Aside from your recent brief trip to the Philippines for the RISE conferences what is your experience with Filipino people and culture?
5. You claim that Kurds, Filipinos, and West Africans are members of the lost tribes of Israel. Have you heard of other lost tribe theories and claims like those of the British Israelites, Christian Identity, and Black Hebrews? What do you think of their claims?
6. How can Filipinos and West Africans be members of a Semitic tribe when they are not Semitic peoples?
7. At 34:07 in your video Lost Tribes 2 G you make some brief comments about Marcos. Are you a Marcos apologist?  Do you think Marcos was ultimately good for the country and all the bad things said about him are CIA disinformation?
8. You are not a Filipino yet you are claiming to be bringing to Filipinos lost knowledge about who they are. Knowledge which has been suppressed and hidden on purpose. When God delivered Israel out of Egypt he chose Moses, an Israelite, to lead them. Why do you think God has chosen you, a white man, to bring this knowledge rather than a Filipino? What do you think of the claim that to bring such knowledge would make you another white saviour? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_savior
I hope to hear from you soon.  Thanks.
This was the response I received:
Thank you for your patience. Actually, when I searched for your blog you touted, I found it seemingly was no longer operatingfor sale and nothing that made sense so I did not respond. Things like this which were really odd:
 Wednesday, August 9, 2017
Philippinefailblog.com Shuts Down Again!Well it happened again. Philippinefailblog.com has closed it's doors for the 2nd time in just a few months.  Closed in November 2016.  Re-opened in February 2017. Closed once more in August 2017.  For the last time?  Who knows!
In fact, here are 2 attached.
Timothy is on vacation after 6 weeks of rigorous touring and will not be responding but you will find we have NO affiliation to any denomination nor organization nor movement nor political force of any sort. Some attempt to pull us into something based on a side note of some sort but that is always just another agitator trying to twist facts. We are researchers period and we say so in every video, every conference, etc. We have all done much in the ministry indeed in the past, yes, but have found we have had to overcome much of that training in order to get to the truth especially regarding Biblical geography prior to the Flood and just after it which is FAR off. Just as Jonah was used as a foreigner in Nineveh, The God Culture is being used to bring repentance to the Philippines and that is already happening. You are very far behind the curve as our track record and fruits already abound and they are abundant.
Yah Bless,
The God Culture
Whoever read my email did not even notice that I put the correct URL of this blog in the second sentence! Instead of clicking on that link they actually went searching for my blog and found some "things which were really odd." Whoever read and responded to my email is not a very bright person. If they cannot even read my email and see the link in the text then I have no hope whatsoever for their research skills.

The God Culture: "Solomon's Treasure" Preliminary Book Review

Timothy Jay Schwab of The God Culture has recently dropped quite a load indicating that he and they have entered the next stage of their journey. From an unknown Youtube channel to full-blown think tank in the space of three years. Tim's videos have been aimed at teaching Filipinos they are Israelites and that the Philippines is Sheba, Ophir, Tarshish, Haviliah, and the Garden of Eden. Actually the Garden of Eden is submerged in the Sulu Sea along with its only inhabitant Enoch. Does the ocean water quench the flaming sword of the Cherubim who guards it?

Filipinos have a big destiny to fill because they will literally fight the anti-christ face to face and restore the Mosaic Law around the world. The OFW program is Bible prophecy! In fact 144,000 Filipino women will be taken to heaven to give birth in the throne room of God to 144,000 babies who will come back seven years later with Jesus Christ as a heavenly choir.  If one does not understand this restoration of Bible geography which gives the Philippines the most preeminent place in all of history and prophecy then one will never, ever understand the Bible. So says The God Culture founder former puppeteer, Christian rock band member, and ordained Reverend Timothy Jay Schwab.

https://www.ophirinstitute.com

You are about to embark on the most monumental journey of all archaeological discoveries. The mother lode that would make the likes of Indiana Jones salivate. The true land of gold in all of history which leads to the location of the Garden of Eden and Land of Creation identifying the Rivers from Eden en route. Why is this important? You will never understand geography, history nor especially Bible prophecy without this restored knowledge of what many will consider the most illustrious realm on Earth. Without this, one cannot interpret archaeology with mastery, lecture on history with certainty, preach a sermon on the topic with veracity nor even satisfy elementary queries. Though founded in the Bible which is the origin of this saga, examine the history, archaeology, geography, science, linguistics, etc. which all converge to reveal what the world knew and somehow misplaced about a century ago. This is a mystery no longer and now, you will know the whereabouts of the lost isles of gold...

You can't even preach a truthful sermon without knowing this information! Think of all the sermons preached in the past 2,000 years by Christians of every kind and in every era. Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul, Peter, John, James, St. John Chrysostom, St. Augustine, Athanasius, Basil the Great, Charles Finney, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Stanely they and all the rest were shut up in darkness because no one in the history of the Church had this information until NOW!

So much for Pentecost and the Church being led of the Holy Spirit into all truth and the gates of Hell not prevailing against the Church. Turns out the Church has been in darkness all this time and God has sent his servant Timothy Jay Schwab to bring us all into the light. The Church owes Timothy a great debt. I am joking of course. Timothy is no servant of God but a heretic who denies the Trinity and preaches "the law is what redeems us." Tim is no way a Christian though he pretends to be one. The thesis of this book is as fictional as Indiana Jones who is alluded to not just on the back cover but also in the introduction on page 19.

I know what's on page 19 of this book without having read it because there is a preview feature on Amazon. Having performed several word searches there is much to say about this book before I have even read it. I would like to take note of just a few things here.

Basically this book will be a rehash of what's in Tim's videos. Just from a perusal of what's available I say with confidence that I have been completely vindicated in all my criticisms of The God Culture. I will list only two.

1. In the video Clue #53 Finding Chryse Tim purports to cite from Dionysius Periegetes. But instead he quotes him secondhand and get's it all wrong. Based on the source he provided I had surmised that he lifted it from "Phoenicians in the Lands of Gold" by J.G. Cheock who cites Dionysius on page 7 and lists the same source as Tim on page 130 of that book.

It turns out that Tim has read "Phoenicians in the Lands of Gold" because Cheock is listed as a source in the index.

We see here Tim's profound scientific method of providing secondhand quotes. Instead of going to Cheock's source, Rebecca Catz, Tim prefers to cite Cheock!

As far as Dionysus goes it was I who did the research to find an English translation by Thomas Twyne in the EEBO database. Tim had no idea it existed until I came along. Tim now claims to be using that translation as his source rather then Cheock. But he does not cite Thomas Twyne as a primary source.  Instead he cites Check's source which is literally a middle school teacher's teaching module!

"Monsoon Winds to the "Land of Gold" is a teaching module for middle schoolers. The teaching module can be accessed here. It will open as a PDF in a new tab.

This citation is interesting because from what I can gather on page 41 Tim actually quotes the Twyne translation. However Tim conflates the Thomas Twyne translation with this module on which Twyne is never mentioned. The English translations on that module come from two other and different sources as each quote is the same verse from Dionysius translated differently.

Imagine writing a book that is supposed to be throughly tested, claiming you have a monumental case no one can disprove, that you have a profound scientific method to prove this case, and that what you are writing is not merely a claim but absolute truth and one of your proofs comes from a middle school teacher's module. Imagine further that you have access to the original source, though it be an English translation, and you still decide to use the module as your official source. That is completely laughable. No serious person would do that. I am dumbfounded at this choice as it makes NO sense! But it is in line with Tim's "profound scientific method" of secondhand quoting.

It should be noted that the module purports to teach about Southeast Asian trade in ancient times and nowhere is the Philippines mentioned.

I don't have space here to get into it further. I have written extensively about this faulty citation elsewhere and I encourage you to read it at this link: The God Culture: Finding Chryse: Don't Follow Biased Paradigms.

2. The second instance where I have been vindicated is in Tim's use of Legeza, Peralta, and Villegas as sources proving that the Philippines traded with ancient Egypt and that Philippine gold has been found in Egypt. Again, I have written at length about how Tim had never read those sources and was even citing one of them incorrectly. In my curiosity I actually ordered the documents from Arts of Asia and posted my findings online.

Timothy Jay Schwab and The God Culture knew NOTHING of what those authors actually wrote until I came along. Naturally they are using my research to further their goals. Take a look at the source list in the index:

Look at how he uses Wikipedia as a source for #22! There are other instances of Wikipedia being used as a source throughout the book.

Note that in this book Peralta is not cited at all. That is because, as I wrote elsewhere he does not discuss trade with Egypt. Only Legeza and Villegas mention Egypt. This citation lists page 137 as being quoted from Legeza but that does not seem to be the case.  Here are the citations as found on page 44.

I am quite confident that this is all my research. There is a sourcebook available that will have all the documents. We shall see if Tim actually ordered the out-of-print Arts of Asia magazine that has this article as surely he will have included the pages in the sourcebook. Either way it was I who finally opened up Legeza, Peralta, and Villegas. Tim and The God Culture had no idea what they actually wrote until I came along. Read more at: The God Culture: Philippine Gold Jewelry Found in 1st Century Egypt.

Based on these two instances it seems I was correct when I wrote the following back in June:
I cannot wait for this book to be published. It looks like it will be big, glossy, and colorful with many pictures. It will be fun to see what exactly is inside. I predict Tim will use my own research which is the English translation of Dionysius Periegetes and the three sources cited to claim Philippine gold was found in 1st century Egypt.  That would be Legeza, Peralta, and Villegas. Tim did not know about any of those resources until I used them in my rebuttals to him.
Of course with Tim taking liberally from other bloggers left and right such as Ancient Philippines as sources for his videos it wasn't that hard of a prediction to make. Funny how they vilify me and yet use my research.

One more thing about what is in the book and that is it appears that Tim makes a passing reference to me on page 45.

"We had one question the "belief" of Adrian Horridge...."
That is most certainly a reference to me as I wrote about what Horridge wrote and how he does not say what Tim thinks he says. You can read more about that at: The God Culture: Does Timothy Schwab Have A Missionary Visa?

No doubt "Solomon's Treasure" will be an interesting book. Even more interesting will be reading any critical reviews. Surely I cannot be the only person who has dissected Tim's videos. Books have a way of making the rounds more so than videos especially a series of videos that is hundreds of hours long. Hopefully this book makes its way into the hands of real scholars and they can give it a proper thrashing.

Having a sourcebook to go along with Solomon's Treasure is a pretty nifty idea.

However in order to access it you have to buy Solomon's Treasure and then register somehow.  I have scoured all their websites and there is no information on how to register. Maybe that information will come with the book.

This SOURCEBOOK is free for those who purchase The Search for King Solomon's Treasure, The Search for King Solomon's Treasure: Instructional Edition and/or Ophir Philippines Coffee Table Book. There is no availability for those wishing to review a Sourcebook without actually reading. You may purchase the books at: Ophirinstitute.com.

Questions? Email us at thegodculture@gmail.com

We reserve the right to reject access to those who cyber libel.

I assume that last sentence is a reference to me as well because Tim and The God Culture have libelously accused me of cyber libel on several occasions. At the bottom of the list of sources there is a rather snarky comment.

(Yeah, we know, we didn't do any research and are just guessing right? What an illiterate position of scoffers who wallow in ignorance.)

https://www.thegodculture.com/source-list

I for one never made such a statement. What I have said repeatedly is that Tim misuses and misinterprets his sources, has not read some of them, and liberally quotes secondhand without referring to the originals. Here is what Tim has to say about his sources especially Thomas Suarez who actually made it into Tim's book as an official source as part of the "Monumental Case For The Philippines No One Can Disprove."

Suarez is wrong. We do not quote his conclusions because they are ignorant and loaded with propaganda as well and we do not consider him a true scholar as he tows the Rothschild line inheriting such from the likes of Samuel Purchas who was employed by the East India Company specifically to hack up this topic as a matter of record and confuse people with propaganda.

https://philippinefails.blogspot.com/2020/03/the-god-culture-philippine-gold-jewelry.html?showComment=1584195525058#c7011209112326719045

Why even bother with sources when Tim says outright he does not believe them? Why cite them as authorities?

The real problem with these sources is that they form Tim's entire case. He has done ZERO archeological work. Instead he has taken texts both ancient and modern and deduced from them the solution to the ancient mystery of the identity of Ophir. He is an armchair researcher and not a real archaeologist like Ron Wyatt who, whether you agree with his findings or not, actually went into the field to prove his claims. Same with Heinrich Schliemann who discovered Troy by leaving his study and going into the field to dig. Even the fictional Indiana Jones Tim references goes into the field to find an artifact wether it be the Cross of Coronado, the Ark of the Covenant, or the Holy Grail. Tim has no artifacts to prove his case. He only has these texts and his deductions many of which, such as his identification of the Chersonesus Aurea as the Philippines, are wrong.

Another thing Tim gets wrong is trade between the Philippines and Israel via the southern tip of Africa. On page 136 Tim writes the following:

Therefore, Ophir had to bring goods to Israel instead which we see in Jonah's story. The ships of Tarshish were certainly trading in Israel again traveling the long way around Africa to the port at Joppa (Jn. 1:1-3) as did the Three Kings after Messiah's birth in about 6 B.C. or so.

While Herodotus does record a single instance of Africa being circumnavigated by the Phoenicians his account is doubted by some. In any case ancient Greek maps do not show much of sub-Saharan Africa, certainly not the southern tip of Africa, and it was Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias who made the first documented voyage around Africa in 1488. The fact is that until modern times this route was rarely taken if ever. Yet Tim expects us all to believe that there was a robust trade between the Philippines and Israel with the route circumnavigating Africa over 2,000 years ago. Such prattle is obvious nonsense not supported by any facts except the ones Tim fabricates by grossly misinterpreting Horridge, Legeza, and Villegas.

As I said there is so much I can write about this book already without having read it. For instance Timothy Jay Schwab's "Monumental Case For The Philippines No One Can Disprove" includes such authoritative sources as Wikipedia and some dude's blog.

Two of the many citations from Wikipedia

http://genesavoy.blogspot.com

Yes, that is really in the list of sources in the index. Why!?

I will leave just one more tidbit indicative of the kind of deception that will be in this book as it is in The God Culture's videos. It comes from Chapter 3 page 33.

That is not Greece but the Acropolis ruins in Fortune Island of Nagsugbu, Batangas, Philippines.

Wrong! Those are not the ruins of a Greek Acropolis at all. Rather it's the ruins of a resort for the very rich.

The island only later in time got the name it has today. A few decades ago it used to serve as a very exclusive luxury resort designed to serve the upper class of society. By that time it was actually called 'Little Paradise' according to the locals.

Because it was designed for the upper class, the creators thought it was fitting to make the resort in ancient Greek style. They built a replica of the Greek Acropolis of Athens on top of a lime stone cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In today's time, the structure still serves as the island's main landmark.

Surely Tim knows that those aren't actual Greek ruins right? He cannot be that dumb. After all his biography, which is spread across several pages, makes mention of a profound scientific method used by The God Culture in doing their research.

It's just pure deception as the uncritical reader will think that there are actually Grecian ruins in the Philippines. It's the same tactic he pulled with Greek armor allegedly being found in Mindanao. You can read more about that here:  The God Culture: Ancient Greek Armor Found In Mindanao

When I receive this book I will not be reviewing it by ripping it to shreds source-by-source. I have already proven that Tim's claims are nonsense and that he is totally dishonest with his sources. Never forget Timothy Jay Schwab is also a heretic who denies the Trinity and is on record saying "the law is what redeems us." Instead I want to compare "Solomon's Treasure" to a book titled "My Country's Godly Heritage: The History of the Philippines In Biblical Perspective" by Ferdinand V. Melendres.

I have yet to read this book but the author appears to have a similar thesis to Timothy Schwab and The God Culture. It will be interesting to see where the two converge and diverge. This author and book do not show up in a search of Tim's book nor have I heard him mention it in any of his videos. I wonder if he knows it exists.

The God Culture: The Book That Changed The World

If there is one thing that can be said about Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture it is that he is a prideful and self-important man. T...
